South Korean Video Game Company Nexon Faces Massive Lawsuit

Anyone that remembers some of the big news about Dark and Darker last year will remember the name Nexon as the South Korean development company responsible for the lawsuits that kept Ironmace developers from publishing Dark and Darker for a decent bit of time. This new ~$9 million lawsuit is being placed against Nexon by the South Korea Fair Trade Commission. The main illegal action in question was Nexon changing the loot table drop chance of multiple rare drop items from their Maple Story and Bubble Fighter loot boxes without telling consumers. Some of these instances made the items impossible to drop at all. The reason this lawsuit is so large is due to the fact that Nexon has already done this same exact crime in a previous case. This does lead me to wonder what other major corporations have been altering drop chances to try and get players to purchase more loot boxes, pretty despicable.
Monster Hunter: World Player Base Resurgence

Since its release in 2018, Monster Hunter: World was a massive hit worldwide. For whatever reason recently, it is making a huge comeback in terms of concurrent players. A few factors that might have caused this from what I understand. The main one is probably the soon to be release of Monster Hunter: Wilds, probably coaxing players to buy the old game while it's on sale to experience what makes the genre great before the new one comes out. The other factor could be that the youtuber/streamer Asmongold decided to play through Monster Hunger: World for the first time very recently, exposing the bulk of his audience to a game they may never have seen before. What do you all think the reason for this new surge in popularity is, could this be the return of Monster Hunter to the top of the gaming charts?

This week is the last week of the Epic Games Holiday Sale, giving everyone the chance to claim Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy for free. We have seen some bangers over the holidays and adding this one to the collection is a great way to start off the new year. Guardians of the Galaxy has won several awards for great storytelling, intense boss battles and diverse character models. Best part is, you play as Star Lord and rest the fate of the galaxy in your hands.
