Riot's Project L Gameplay Trailer and Demo

The side-view tag team fighter game from Riot Games will apparently be available as a demo in August during the Evo 2023 event. A new full match gameplay video was also released with the developer diary, showing core mechanics and the look of the game. It looks like they are trying to focus on the 2v2 aspect of the game similar to Dragon Ball FighterZ, where you can tap in another character for combos. The animations look clean and polished, and I am sure they will have a decent sized roster at launch with the variety available from League of Legends.

Don't Starve Together Character Refresh Update

After many content updates to Don’t Starve Together (DST) that long time fans have been enjoying, Klei Entertainment has decided to give some of their characters a mix-up in gameplay that will reward new players through specialized skill trees. Woodie, Wolfgang, and Wormwood are the targets for the current update, but the rest of the characters are likely going to be refreshed later. This update is crucial to the new player experience, adding a sort of meta-progression to the game that newer players will be able to use to their advantage to survive longer and do objectives more efficiently. If you are a fan of highly stylized indie survival games, I would highly suggest checking this game out, as it is still getting constant updates 8 years after release. Also check out the new animated cartoon short for the update here, which Klei releases for each new major update release.

CD Projekt Red Layoffs

Following some recent layoffs in the company on other projects, CD Projekt Red is reportedly out of work for part of its workforce. Within the coming time, CD Projekt Red announced they are cutting roughly 100 jobs from their current teams. The CD Projekt Red CEO announced “To meet our own high expectations and ambitions to create the best role-playing games, we not only want to have the best people but also the right teams.” The real question is are they actually focusing their efforts on the greater good or is something changing within the company.
