AFK Today 9/29/2023

What is going on my friends? We’ve got lots of new updates and releases to talk about this week. First off, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is out now and the reviews are surprisingly positive. Are you on the Cyberpunk 2077 hype train again? Next up, we have an official online multiplayer update for Binding of Isaac, allowing up to four players to join a single lobby! Lastly, Counter Strike 2 is officially released! Will you be picking up any of these games this weekend? Let us know what you think!

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty Out Now!

Everyone remembers the earth shaking disappointment that resulted in Cyberpunk 2077’s initial release, with an unfinished buggy mess being the result of pre-launching the game into a major hype train disaster. Despite the incredible resentment that the gaming community can harbor for being misled, that doesn’t mean a development studio can’t find their way back from disgrace. It appears that Cyberpunk has been working its way towards redemption just like No-Man’s Sky, by putting their money and time towards making the game better. Phantom Liberty includes updated combat systems, improved graphical overhauls, superior storytelling, and the fans have been praising its quality on Steam reviews so far. I think it is safe to recommend this DLC just to try and support developers who really put work into their games even if they start off shaky. Check it out on Steam here if you are interested.

Binding of Isaac Official Online Multiplayer

The Binding of Isaac has had local multiplayer functionality for quite some time, but according to creator Edmund McMillen, official online multiplayer will be available very soon. This will allow up to four online players to play at once. How certain mechanics such as damage, loot, enemies, and death will function is still a mystery. But we will go more into depth on the general mechanics once the full release happens. What are you looking forward to seeing adapted to 4-man Isaac, or do you think they will keep everything the same?

Counter Strike 2 Released!

The next chapter in CS begins with the official release of Counter Strike 2. You can download CS2 for free from Steam with the listing being the replacement of the original CS:GO. As far as we know, all of the items you've collected on your account should be available in CS2 along with the stock weapons and skins getting an enhanced look. CS2 features upgraded and overhauled maps, game-changing dynamics, redesigned visuals and much more. Now is a better time than ever to jump back in.
